We invite you to come, unlock the heartbeat of the forest through music, and nature that surrounds all. Thunder Drum Music Festival is a celebration of self, that is enhanced through music and magick. A certain amount of the proceeds will be donated/gifted to Lothlorien Nature Sanctuary for the construction and completion of Thunder Dome Project. This will be the setting for a time when we re-unite earthlings and other worldly creatures together for one big festival event.
As darkness sets in, the fire gets ablaze in Thunder Dome. This Sacred Space where fire transforms all reality, is made up of a geodesic dome frame. The Fire pit hosts chimney logs that are managed by fire tenders. Drummers line the inner tear of the circle and awaken the rhythm in us, as Dancers circle the fire from dusk until dawn under Moon and Stars. We are honoring Lughnasa with a ritual to The Wicker Man that will mark the First Harvest of the season. We will host a ritual honoring the First Fruits of our lives
Find your groove at the Lightening Shrine Stage, where you will see excellent live music performed by well loved musicians on this brand new stage. Enjoy approximately 20 bands that will perform on stage from noon until dusk. Drop in on our Slumber Party Saturday all night in the Lodge Funk Room. There will be choice bands and electronic music performed by a DJ to dance your socks off in the Disco lights until Dawn
This is a camping event with warm showers and compostor toilet facilities. Free parking and Food service available.
We encourage all to car pool to this event. Parking is free yet of limited space.
Fire wood and ice will be available for sale.
THIS IS A LEAVE NO TRACE EVENT.
Bring plastic garbage bags for all your trash.
Removal of all your trash gets taken with you on your way out.
Recycling receptors will be available on site.
Event attendees may shop at the vendors around the circle road, and dine at the Lodge, hike the nature trails in Faerie Woods. Sing a song at the Song Shrine Stage. Swim in the stream, dance the night away at the Lodge Funk Room and drum under the stars in the Thunder Dome.
We are planning some entertaining live music played by the finest musicians. Original music is more the path as self expression is the rule here. We urge you to bring your own drum or percussion instrument to the Thunder Dome to drum and dance, this really gets going around dusk. The forest and nature surround you here at Lothlorien Nature Sanctuary. A magick feeling overcomes you as you walk the land and participate in the festivities.
